I did this in about a week, animated in Flash and composited in After Effects.

Sadly this series is coming to an end. I think it was just getting started, but hopefully we will see more shows like this soon. I think we have, and it's awesome. Let's keep it up! The series' creators have reached out to fans to help fund a final episode wrapping up the series. There have been awesome prizes, and now if you donate more than $150, you will also get an original India ink on canvas of one of the two images below.
This was the fastest video that I've produced. Just 14 days from start to finish, and the script was only finalized after the first week. But it was also one of the funnest projects I've worked on this year. A project like this can only get done on time if the client is willing (and able) to make the process as painless as possible. A big thanks to Matt and his team for making this possible.
I did this poster for the Kellogg School of Business Charity Auction Ball, benefitting One Acre Fund, wits, and wings. This is the third poster I have done for them, and this year's theme was "A Great Gatsby Gala" It's too bad that the charity/sponsor logos weren't supplied without backgrounds, but I still had fun working on the characters.
I recently created a video for Connectsy, "The spontaneous way to share your plans and get together with others." It was a fun project, all done in Flash. Check it out!
I've been sketching a lot in flash lately, sticking to a black and white, (sometimes) minimalist style. Here are a few of the latest. I've also been taking some of the sketches further and doing them in ink on paper/canvas. These along with a few more are posted here.
And here it is!! I'm very excited to finally show the video that I've been working on for the past 7 months. The hand drawn animation was done in flash, composited in AfterEffects with some additional animation. Not only was this a really fun project to work on but I'm a huge fan of Sick of Sarah so I feel lucky to have been able to have this opportunity. Check the video out and let me know what you think!!!
I recently developed a website for Cape Communications Inc. Initial design was done by us at Vivid and then I built the pages from there. The homepage has a little bit of animation and interactivity on the homepage. Check it out and if you're in need of a print broker, call CCI! Click the image below to go to the site:
Check out an interview I did with Tequila Bajo 0º, a blog that's made by women but not entirely for women. The topics on this blog are quite interesting, including features about art and artists. The blog is in spanish, but there are links in the grey box at the top with english titles.
For the first weekend that I was in Portugal I was mostly partying, and for the last weekend I was sick and didn't leave the flat. But for the few days in between, I tried to make the best of capturing the beautiful sceneries. Here are a few pieces (not scans, just photos so some of the colours are slightly off).
A friend of mine started a blog which I think is a great idea, a place where you can share your experiences through drawings/stories/music/videos... You can also comment or check a box if you think the post is interesting, sad, inspiring or if it's happened to you. I did this drawing to kick off the blog, check it out here
I animated this clip today, just a quick promo for a cool project, Shake The World. For more info go to www.stwpictures.com. Thanks to Bryce Milburn (exec. producer of the project) for posting a drawing of this, click to go to his blog, where he has posted a few other artist's drawings. And a very special thanks to Amy for the cutest voice ever :D
I am a big fan :P of Elliot Cowan, particularly his "Adventures of Boxhead and Roundhead" If you haven't seen them, check them out on youtube or his site is www.elliotelliotelliot.com and his blog is sandwichbag.blogspot.com I did this sketch for Elliot and he posted it on his blog! Here's a link to the post. Thanks Elliot, glad you liked this and I'm looking forward The Thing in the Distance!! :D
I recently did a logo design for a B&B in Bali, called Villa Wastra. We are currently designing their website, the logo was part of it. It was quite a journey to get the final logo, here are a few from the last batch of designs I sent, the one on top is the one that the client chose. The second is a card/welcome sign design. I'll put a link to the site as soon as the site is up! :D
I have a new website, www.jodisandler.com!! I created the site to test out some of my (basic) html skills, and it's a place for me to keep some of my favourite work from over the years (professional and personal).
If you're interested in putting up your own site, at Vivid Creative Services we do web hosting as well as design. If you're in need of a domain and hosting services, click here!
A client of ours had a baby, so I did a quick little card for her.. Thought I'd post it cause I think it's cute and something different to what I've been doing lately. The bottom pic shows how it opens up to show the message inside :)
Last week Sixpence None the Richer released the first video off their new album, Dawn of Grace. This time around I didn't have the luxury of taking my time, in fact I conceived, carried and popped this baby out in 3 months!! I couldn't have done it without the assistance of an artist who I admire, Arzu Fallahi...who painted the backgrounds, GREAT JOB!!
Many thanks to the following for helping me out in any way, even if it was minimal, (every bit counts)...my mom, Kei Acedera, Jason Teeuwissen, Mario Positano and Aldines Zapparoli.
There is a teaser clip available in the videos section on Sixpence None the Richer's myspace page, here's a link...The full video is coming soon. www.myspace.com/sixpencethericher
